In this Photoshop tutorial, we’ll cover liquifying a Smart Object to make non-destructive edits to your images, cleaning up blemishes on a new layer, retouching eyes with adjustment layers, dodging and burning, adjusting tone and color grading the image, and sharpening to complete the effect. We’ll also cover applying a few finishing effects by returning the image to the Camera RAW editor and also having some fun with the Crop tool and exploring the way we could make the final image look.

In this Illustrator tutorial, we’ll draw everything in this scene from the sky and desert sand to the ornate buildings on the horizon and the camel train traveling through the desert. You’ll learn how to create this entire scene, build out gradients and adjust colors, add a moon to the sky, use a transparent gradient to add glowing stars, using the Pathfinder panel about a million times to customize and trim shapes and so much more over the course of us creating this artwork! In this Photoshop tutorial, we’ll look at the Channels panel and examine how to duplicate a channel to extract just the information we want from the image. We’ll use Levels and a cool brush tool trick to finalize our alpha channels and we’ll cover what an alpha channel is and how you can use them to create complex selections, save those selections and then convert those selections to masks on adjustment layers to localize effects and adjustments in your images. It’s a powerful tool to know how to use and can really save yourself with some difficult selections.
