Right from making selections to creating shadows, in this tutorial, we’ll go through the complete process of making the perfect composite step-by-step. Using interesting tools like advanced gradient maps, and dodging and burning to get the subject match the background.

In this part, we will focus on creating monochromatic composites. Firstly, we will make a selection using Color Range as the background is mostly separated by color. Then, once we place the subject in the background and set the correct size and level, we will use tools like Curves, Gradient Maps, Layer Styles, and perform dodging and burning to get the subject to blend.
